Many are concerned about emerging BESS and data centres due to their environmental impact.

My view is that Devon has already sacrificed enough Farmland and countryside to support national infrastructure.
If we continue industrialising Devon it will no longer be such an attractive destination for tourist.

The data centre consultation email has changed. They are now using the name “Valeon”, with responses directed to:

The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) consultation remains the same.

It’s important that everyone is aware of the change so your consultation responses are sent to the correct project.
The consultation opens on 14 July and closes on 11 August 2026.
